This is a quick reference manual to 3D Lumber installation, which has several steps: (1) STEP I: DOWNLOAD 3DLumber.zip, (2) STEP II: EXTRACT files from ZIPPED FOLDER, (3) STEP III: RUNNING SETUP, and (4) STEP IV: CREATING SHORTCUT.

PROGRAM DOES NOT RUN, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If the program is installed correctly, it should run. Please make sure the program is installed at some directory in you computer usually inside C:\Program Files folder. The folder should have one lumber.exe file and a lumber.mdb file to correctly function. Please contact us for further support with actual error screen or message.

LUMBER IMAGES ARE NOT AS EXPECTED. THE SHAPE LOOKS AWKWARD. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

Probably your database file i.e. lumber.mdb in your installed folder is corrupt. Try editing that database for the particular lumber. You will need to check in tblShape, tblDefect and tblSummary. If you are not sure how to edit it, simply reinstalling the program should resolve this problem.

I DO NOT HAVE MICROSOFT ACCESS PROGRAM. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you do not have microsoft access, its okay. The program will function any way. However, you won’t be able to view, or edit the database file manually.
