On-going Activities

This project capitalizes on the R&D strengths of West Virginia University (WVU), Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech), Auburn University (Auburn), and University of Maine (Maine) in collaborations with the regional industry partners. 

• Integrate the biomass logistics in the eastern U.S.;
• Further improve the efficiency of forest residue harvest and collection,
• Generate biomass price curves specific to the region,
• Provide data sharing across the eastern region for further utilization of residue biomass and development of the bioeconomy.
