Summary

The two-day meeting consisted of the mined land reclamation tours, higher education challenge (HEC) sustainable land reclamation program updates, contemporary land reclamation issues and discussion, and advisory board evaluation and suggestions sessions, was held on June 10-11, 2019 at West Virginia University (WVU), Morgantown, WV. It brought together scientists, faculties, and students from WVU Division of Forestry and Natural Resources, WVU Division of Plant and Soil Sciences, Allegany College of Maryland, Hocking College, USDA Forest Service, USDI Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, and West Virginia Water Research Institute. There was a total of 27 attendees.
